Remote Sign Language Interpreter in PA
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting.
This role is based in Norristown, PA, providing remote and on-site interpretation to facilitate effective communication between hearing-impaired students and educators or healthcare providers.
Key
Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during telehealth sessions and in-person educational activities.
Support communication access for students with hearing impairment across various school programs.
Coordinate with educators, healthcare teams, and families to ensure clear understanding and inclusion.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Adapt to diverse communication needs and settings within the school environment.
Qualifications and
Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language and experience interpreting in educational or healthcare settings.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote interpreting technology.
Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently on a contract basis.
Previous experience supporting students or clients with hearing impairments in schools or healthcare environments.
