Payroll/HR Financial Coordinator - Long Term Temporary role Job

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager HR Systems/Programs & Payroll.
This is a long-term temporary position (now - early 2025) with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
Job DimensionsPayroll/HR general ledger reporting and reconciliations.
Function as the primary liaison with Corporate and site/other entity accounting contacts on Payroll/HR activity.
Key Activities and ResponsibilitiesPayroll Financial/General Ledger Support (80%) Be primary contact for accounting general ledger and reporting inquiries.
Reconcile payroll processing direct deposits/check totals to GL postings.
Report entity net cash activity for all payroll to ensure proper intercompany entries are made by accounting.
Create journal entries for other intercompany activity.
Provide accountants with their designated monthly and reports.
Handle reporting of all required Union dues reports to unions (biweekly, monthly) Reconcile general ledger activity of stock and other payroll/HR loans at the employee level and resolve open items.
Review monthly Payroll Bank Reconciliation open items and ensure timely corrective actions.
Research and resolve old outstanding payroll checks.
Confirm payroll loan balances at time of pending employee termination to HR Business Partners Handle Arkema Inc.
accelerated or lump sum loan deduction entries in SAP HRMS.
Draft any required repayment agreements for terminating or other employees with balances due to company.
Track receipt of any expected repayments and remaining balances.
Control the reporting, system scheduling and distribution lists for all accounting reports.
Track overall and entity level payroll & T&E administrative cost actual spending.
Provide forecasts and budget projections for overall and entity level Payroll/T&E costs.
Review and approve monthly ADP invoices and submit for processing.
Determine and communicate the annual Corporate-provided Recognition budget allotments to business/departments.
Determine and report the Corporate-provided Recognition budget spending updates and distribution of results.
Handle the Bostik Employee Gift/Donations Process Be primary contact for general ledger related responses to financial and internal audits.
Provide support and representation for Payroll/HR in any financial system projects.
Participate in other Payroll/HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Benefits Financial/General Ledger Support (15%) Handle journal entry file preparation for monthly accounting transfers of benefits payroll posting.
Reviewing benefits claims costs against general ledger posting activity each month.
Reconciliation of retiree and COBRA direct pay and claim reporting each month.
Report NQDC Plan details be entity each month.
Audit benefits payroll activity and review with benefits vendors on a quarterly basis.
Handle journal entry preparation for Bostik miscellaneous benefit costs billing on a quarterly basis.
Participate in other Benefits projects and initiatives as assigned.
Overall HR Financial/General Ledger Support (5%)Potential to support overall HR actual vs budget spending analysis as well as annual budget development.
Required Education/Qualifications/Work Experience High School degree is required, but a higher degree is preferred.
2-4 years of experience in Accounting/Finance and/or HR/Payroll corporate environment is required.
Strong technical accounting skills Self-starter with inquisitive nature, aptitude to quickly learn and ability to assimilate and apply new concepts.
Technical aptitude regarding operating systems and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Ability to direct requests from and for other finance/accounting resources and manage input from cross-functional teams.
Strong Excel skill set is required.
Strong SAP or computerized HRMS skill set is desired.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated Competencies Must be results-oriented and be able to react quickly and effectively to changing situations.
Strong time management and organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines.
Strong attention to details and accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work with independently as well as a part of a diverse team.
Must be able to work with oversight of multiple managers.
