Manager, Pricing & Government Reporting

The Manager, Pricing & Government Reporting will assist in calculating monthly and quarterly pricing to Veteran Administration (VA), Public Health Services (PHS), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Analyzes and reconciles sales data in order to meet federal reporting requirements.
Responsible for preparing federal and state disclosures of product prices.
Additional responsibilities include:
supporting commercial operations core business processes; implementing strategies and recommendations for improving processes, efficiency and practices; help to identify and prioritize service improvement opportunities and advise operational impact and help plan for implementation; assist in the development, update and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the disclosure of marketing and healthcare expenditures to comply with federal and state legislative requirements.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1.
Gather, reconcile, analyze, and review sales and discount data from CSL source systems in order to prepare statutory calculations.
2.
Assist in preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly statutory price calculations (AMP, BP, 340b, ASP, NFAMP) in Model N for CSL products in compliance with government price reporting regulations, guidance and policy.
Provide analysis on variances and material impacts to pricing.
3.
Review calculated results with department leads and advise on data issues, exceptions and variances to provide insights for summary reports used to gain approval of the results with senior leaders.
4.
Assist in monitoring changes in guidance for government price reporting that will impact operations and, after discussing with team/legal, help to determine best practices to update policies or processes and execute changes.
5.
Act as Model N SME and back-up for department; utilize Model N to prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports on an ongoing basis.
6.
Create and maintain government price trending, analytics and ad hoc reports to provide actionable insights to support business communications and decisions.
7.
Maintain/Update SOP's, work instructions and other foundational department documents to reflect current practices on an on-going basis.
8.
Assist in gathering and reporting product prices required for transparency in coordination with the Transparency team, to ensure compliance with Federal/State reporting requirements/ statutory deadlines.
9.
Proactively support Department leadership on projects as needed; Communicate effectively within department and cross functionally.
Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Life Sciences or Healthcare Policy 5-7 years of Government Pricing, Analytics or Finance in biotech/pharmaceutical industry; preference given to individuals with demonstrated government pricing experience Must possess strong Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office products; experience with Model N and SAP preferred Demonstrated ability to function independently Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements for the Medicaid , Medicare, Veterans Healthcare Act and other state/federal regulations on pricing and reimbursement of pharmaceuticals as well as working in regulated environment Strong analytical skills and business acumen Attention to detail and ability to review/understand complex data-sets Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Business process management and change management techniques Ability to influence without authority Our Benefits CSL employees that work at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits effective day 1.
