Maintenance Mechanic, Full-time 2nd shift

Streamlight, Inc., a leading manufacturer of portable lighting equipment located in a beautiful setting in Eagleville, PA, is looking for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to assemble, support and maintain production cells and equipment to maximize productivity, product quality and insure worker safety. The hours for this shift are typically 3:30pm - 12:00am. The Maintenance Mechanic will also maintain machinery and fixtures in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule. Must have one year certificate from technical school and/or five years related experience and proven competency in mechanical repair, plumbing, electrical and construction. Mechanical skills, general maintenance skills and equipment maintenance experience required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Complete any projects as assigned including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, construction and general assembly.
Construct, rearrange, and modify new and existing assembly cells, maintaining integrity of lighting, electrical, and air.
Ensure production cells are operable and efficient. Make recommendations to management for improvements.
Correct safety hazards and maintain proper storage of hazardous materials.
Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance on assembly related equipment
Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
Perform machining functions as it relates to cell equipment repair.
Troubleshoot problems with systems and equipment and bring to resolution.
Maintain PM log of all equipments related activity and repairs.
Maintain equipment files, containing manuals, instructions, repair tickets, etc. on all equipment the maintenance department is responsible for.
Assist in completion Maintenance Request Forms and support other departments as required.
Maintain daily work log of duties and projects.
Assist with grounds and vehicle maintenance if requested by Manager.

GENERAL
Keep manager advised of potential problems.
Follow safety rules.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Return tools to proper location when through and clean up area after job is complete or need dictates.
Adhere to company practices and policies.
Interact effectively with others.
Participate in sound quality practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or
Experience: One year certificate from technical school and / or 5 years related experience and proven competency in mechanical repair, plumbing, electrical, and construction. Mechanical skills, general maintenance skills, and equipment maintenance experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to apply basic arithmetic functions.

REASONING SKILLS - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's license. Any related certifications a plus, such as HVAC, electrician, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use of hands, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
