Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) Manager - Full Time

Laurel House Safe Haven is seeking a Dynamic and Experienced Leader to serve as our Domestic Abuse Response Team (DART) Manager. This is a full-time, exempt position with a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Position Summary
The DART Manager will lead and manage operations, staff, and volunteers of the DART program. This role supports the team in providing immediate crisis intervention and safety counseling to victims of domestic violence when contacted by Montgomery County police departments, hospitals, and other partner agencies. In collaboration with law enforcement, medical personnel, and community partners, the DART Manager ensures that survivors have access to a coordinated community response.
Reporting & Supervisory Relationships:


  • Supervises: DART Advocates and DART Volunteers
  • Reports to: Director of Community Outreach
  • Benefits: As outlined in the Personnel Manual for full-time employees
  • Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure immediate crisis and safety counseling, court accompaniment, case management, and Victim Impact or Victim Compensation assistance for victims of domestic violence.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff and volunteers through regular check-ins, monthly case reviews, onboarding, and professional development planning.
  • Maintain accurate performance records and provide formal and informal feedback, including annual evaluations.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, interview, and hire essential staff in coordination with the Director of Community Outreach.
  • Collaborate with the DART Coordinator to create and maintain monthly on-call schedules for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide on-call supervision for hotline coverage as needed.
  • Conduct outreach and manage volunteer recruitment, training, retention, and engagement, including newsletters and quarterly meetings.
  • Plan and improve outreach and collaboration with police departments, hospitals, the DA's Office, county detectives, and other community partners.
  • Deliver domestic violence training to law enforcement, medical professionals, and other service providers across Montgomery County.
  • Coordinate with other directors to ensure seamless services when program responsibilities overlap.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, adherence to policies, and areas for improvement in coordination with the Director of Community Outreach.
  • Represent DART at community events, including health fairs, National Night Out, and informational tabling events.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics for fiscal management, grant compliance, and program outcomes.
  • Represent Laurel House on community committees, HUBs, and collaboratives.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of domestic violence, crisis intervention, and survivor advocacy
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Professional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately in crisis situations
  • Valid PA driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally (mileage reimbursed)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
